This morning my baby sister moved to California to begin the next chapter of her life and I couldn't be more happy for her and more proud of the woman that she has become.
I already miss her sooooo.... much and going through old photos and remembering how things were when we were just kids made me sad to see that chapter come to an end.

Today dear Sister, as you walk down the aisle
You'll see all the faces wearing a smile.
But as we remember those young tender years
Our smiles will conceal a few hidden tears.
It isn't through sadness , it's emotion that swirls
As we think back to us being two little girls
And now you have grown and make me feel proud

Baby # 2 hurdles we need help getting over!!!
Ok, so since he was born baby Cisco hasn't slept for more than 4 hrs at a time. During the night he's only slept more than 3 hrs twice.
You may be thinking "Not a problem. Just sleep while he sleeps during those 3 hr spands."
The only problem is that he'll sleep for 3 hrs and be awake for 4 before falling asleep again.
I thought maybe he was colic but his sleep cycle during the day paints a different picture. He eats, sleeps, goes to the bathroom and repeats. If he does stay awake during the day he is usually calm and content, but for some reason being calm and content while awake at night seems to be the last thing he wants to do.
I'm running out of ideas and with me being sick, having a lack of sleep, trying to work, and my husband going to school, working, and having a lack of sleep, we are about at our wits end.
Ideas we've tried so far:
keeping him awake 6 hrs before bed time
putting rice cereal in his formula
bathing right before bed
switching off being up with him so we both get rest
swaddling
not swaddling
massage
music
swing
I think there's more but I can't really think right now.
I'm open to any ideas anyone may have and if you know of someone else who may have an idea please tell them of this blog and ask them to share their ideas. Any idea will only help at this point.

Needless to say, the creation of The Bencomo Bunch blog was done by my newly married baby sister. So "Thank you baby sis."
With this first post of mine, I guess I'll just summerize the past 3-5 years.
2005 is the year everything really started. Cisco and I started dating, I got pregnant with our first child, Alana, and Cisco proposed.
2006 wasn't as eventful. I graduated High School, Cisco and I moved into our first apartment together, and I gave birth to Alana Lynn Bencomo.
2007 we pretty much just took a year trying to figure out how to merge our two life style to create a new life style for our new family.
2008 we realized that we couldn't imagine life without one another and decided to make everything official by getting married.
and so far in 2009 the only really big news is the arrival of the newest addition to the Bencomo bunch, our son, Francisco Hector Bencomo.
I think that covers START to PRESANT time for The Bencomo Bunch. I'm excited to share the rest of our life as time goes on.
